The International Centre “La Strada”, Moldova, in the framework of the project “Strengthening regional approaches to counteract trafficking in persons” within the Danish Programme Against Human Trafficking in Eastern and South Eastern Europe, announces a competition for participation in the Regional Workshop on Good Practices Exchange “Ensuring adequate assistance to all categories of trafficked persons” which will be held during November 20-24, 2006 in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. The Workshop will bring together 25 specialists having experience of work with trafficking survivors. Target audience of the workshop will mainly include social workers, psychologists, mediators and educators representing service providers from non-governmental sectors from Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine and Bulgaria. The Workshop aims at: - Exchange of good practices in the area of assistance and protection of victims of trafficking. - Building on knowledge and experience in the area of trafficking victims assistance; strengthening contacts and harmonizing procedures in processing common trafficking cases. - Collecting and disseminating good practices in the area of assistance to victims of trafficking in the region The Workshop will allow collecting at least 12 regional good practices of assisting trafficking survivors that will be later released via thematic Good Practices Brochure. The working language of the Workshop will be Russian. All costs associated with participants travelling, accommodation and meals are covered by the organisers. Interested persons should fill in and send the application form to the International Centre La Strada Moldova at the e-mail address assistance@lastrada.md. The application package would include the following: - Application form - The draft of the good practice to be presented at the workshop (please, see the guidelines for preparation) NOTE: Maximum 2 persons from an organization are allowed to apply. If two persons are applying to represent an organization, only one GP is to be presented. The deadline for application is September 15, 2006
