Over 600 victims of trafficking were assisted under the Danish Programme for the first half of the year 2007 |

The reintegration programmes, which are being administrated by IOM Missions in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine among other due to the DMFA support may include medical, psychological, legal assistance, reinstallation grants, vocational training and other types of assistance depending on the needs of each client.
Under the Danish Programme against Human Trafficking in Eastern and South Eastern Europe for the first half of 2007 IOM Belarus has included 89 newly identified victims of trafficking into reintegration process. In total IOM Minsk has assisted 71 VoTs with medical examination and treatment, 336 victims received psychological/social assistance, 30 persons were provided with vocational training and 16 were provided with legal assistance.
In Moldova Danish Programme has contributed to the development of National Referral System (NRS). Due to the flexible mechanisms of the developing NRS it was possible to assist more victims of trafficking than it was initially planned. From January to July 2007, 191 cases, including 124 VoTs and 67 At-risk cases, received assistance consisting wide range of re/integration measures available.
During the period of January-June 2007, 76 victims of trafficking have been included into reintegration program under the Danish Programme in Ukraine. The victims have received reintegration assistance that includes access to psychological, legal, and medical assistance through IOM facilities and national NGOs. 101 more VoTs have received medications only under DANATIP.
The assisted victims of trafficking had been trafficked to a number of countries, but predominantly to such destination as Russia, Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic and Austria. In several cases the persons fell victims to internal trafficking within the countries of their origin.
